The inaugural CyberNI Week, coordinated by the Northern Ireland Cyber Security Centre, took place from March 4th - 10th and proved a fitting legacy to CyberUK23, enhancing and further developing our local cyber security community.
Collaboratively, we delivered 38 events across academia, industry, government, charities and to the public, with over 2000 delegates attending in person or joining virtual events. The week was a phenomenal success, showcasing excellence across a wide range of cyber security areas and demonstrating our collective commitment to raising cyber security awareness locally.
Each event received very positive feedback, though for the public sector, the highlight of the week was the first Government Cyber Security Conference, held on Tuesday 5th March and opened by Finance Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald. Senior representatives from NCSC, Cabinet Office, DoF, DLUHC, CyberFirst, PSNI, Cyber & Fraud Centre Scotland, Translink and DCIT presented, contributed to discussion panels and provided attendees with valuable networking opportunities.
The week could not have been a success without the commitment of our delivery partners. By hosting high quality events, we provided attendees with opportunities to hear from and engage with leading cyber security professionals, ensuring their time was well spent. Thank you to everyone who hosted or attended events.
Together we delivered on our aim of ‘Collaborating to Strengthen Cyber Resilience’.
We look forward to an even bigger and better CyberNI week 2025.
