Cyber First Girls Competition Celebration Event - NICSC
The CyberFirst Girls’ Competition is a highly successful initiative led by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). Its mission is to inspire young girls with an interest in technology to consider a career in cybersecurity.
Since its launch in 2017, the competition has grown significantly. In Northern Ireland, participation has increased, with 41 schools taking part this year, up from 35 last year.
The competition is a team event where groups of up to four Year 9 students take on challenges in cryptography, logic, artificial intelligence, and networking. Each member of the winning team will receive a brand-new laptop, and their school will have the chance to win prize money.
The NCSC has evaluated all entries and announced the regional top 10 teams and overall winner.
This event will celebrate the success of Northern Ireland’s top 10 teams and honours the winning team with their award.
