Check your cyber security is a free service provided by NCSC for UK organisations to perform a range of simple online checks to identify common vulnerabilities in your public-facing IT.
All checks done by this service are remote and you do not need to install software as this service uses the same publicly available information that cyber criminals use to find easy targets.
How can check your cyber security protect your organisation online?
The NCSC's Check your cyber security website, is designed to help non technical users to find and fix some of the more important cyber security issues.
The website includes the following online checks to identify common vulnerabilities in your IT. Further information on the online checks can be found on the NCSC website;
- Check your email security: Check if the emails you send are secure or could be intercepted or forged.
- Check your IP address and website: Check if cyber criminals could attack your systems to gain access to your data via the internet.
- Check your web browser: Check if your web browser is out of date and vulnerable to exploitation.
